WWE was originally known as WWWF, and those initials stood for World Wide Wrestling Federation. Vince McMahon Jr. shortened it to just WWF when he took over the company from his father.

Chris Candido Injures Ankle On Lockdown + Abyss Injured *LOCKDOWN SPOILERS*
Chris Candido most likely suffered a fracture to his ankle early on in his Lockdown match. He was taken to hospital immediately following the incident, but the broken ankle has not yet been officially confirmed. It is expected that NWA-TNA will officially confirmed it as soon as they get word on it.

In other Lockdown news, Abyss suffered a separated shoulder in his match against AJ Styles on the pay per view. It seems likely that he won't miss any time away from the ring.

News courtesy of TNAWrestling.Com:

"Chris Candido severely injured his ankle early in his tag team bout with Lance Hoyt against Sonny Siaki and Apolo. Candido received medical attention backstage and was later taken to a local hospital via ambulance. Early indications are that he has a broken ankle, although TNAwrestling has yet to receive official word. We'll have an update on Candido's condition on Monday afternoon.

In the Lockdown main event, The Phenomenal AJ Styles defeated the monster Abyss, thereby earning a shot at the NWA World Heavyweight Title next month at the May "Hard Justice" Pay-Per-View against "King of the Mountain" Jeff Jarrett! During the bout, not only did Abyss go through a pile of tacks face-first, but he was also treated following the bout for a dislocated shoulder. Abyss was up and walking after the bout, although his shoulder was heavily iced."
