Molly Holly Released From WWE Contract - Updated!
It seems that WWE have on switched their "roster cutting mode" again, and this time it is Molly Holly who has been released from her contract.

Much as in 2004, WWE have now released a lot of talented performers in a very short time. Just a personal opinion from us at Fiesta Fest Wrestling: WWE, if you keep this up you're not only going to depleate your roster, but you're going to lose fans as you go along. It may be a quick fix for your economy, but it will hurt you in the long run.

News courtesy of WWE.Com:

"Molly Holly and World Wrestling Entertainment have mutually agreed on her release. WWE wishes her the best in her future endeavors."

According to PWInsider.Com, it was actually Molly herself who asked for her release. Apparently, she has been feeling unhappy about being in the company as of late, and just decided to get out. Thus, she was not just another victim for the cost cutting schemes.

Molly will, as both Rhyno and Matt Hardy will, have a 90-day "no compete" period, where she will still be paid by WWE. After that period she is free to seek work anywhere she would like.

News courtesy of PWInsider.Com:

"According to several sources, Molly Holly's release from World Wrestling Entertainment was something that Holly approached WWE about last night at Raw, as opposed to her being a victim of cost-cutting. According to several, it had been clear for some time that Holly had been unhappy and wanted out. WWE.com referred to her release as "mutually agreed upon" earlier today.

There's no word as to whether she will be able to use the Molly Holly name, a WWE creation, outside of the company. The late Mike Lockwood, who worked as Crash Holly, did not use the name outside of WWE following his departure there.

It is expected Holly will have the same 90 day no compete as per usual with WWE releases, which would make her available to work in early July."
