WWE Not Bringing Back ECW After All?
It seems that there might still be a risk that WWE will NOT be bringing back ECW after all, despite what has been rumored so far. It all comes down to a little trademark news snippet that has been reported by PWInsider.Com.

From PWInsider.Com:

"According to USPTO, the activity to trademark ECW and Extreme Championship Wrestling were suspended in January 2004. So, there is no active work on those trademarks. So, that means nothing is going to happen with ECW. However, the WWE has been actively working on finishing the trademarks to all the WCW trademarks through April, with the exception of WCW Saturday Nitro, which is now dead and abandoned. The owner of the WCW trademarks is WCW, Inc in Stamford, CT.

There you have it. This could very well be the final nail in the coffin of the past ECW rumors, which have thus far seemed to be very solid. Then again, this could just be something to throw us all off, although I wouldn't count on it. Looks like the very much anticipated return of ECW won't be happening after all.
