New GM Of SmackDown! Confirmed + News On Roster Trades
Since the departure of Paul Heyman as the GM of SmackDown!, it was believed by many that Stephanie McMahon would once again become the General Manager for the brand. However, it seems that this is not the case, as the new GM for SmackDown! has been officially confirmed to be none other than Kurt Angle. It is believed that Angle is still unavailable to compete full-time, and making him the new GM would allow him to be on WWE television without risk of further injury.

"WWE.com has learned that former WWE Champion Kurt Angle has accepted the job as SmackDown! General Manager.

In replacing Paul Heyman, Kurt Angle’s first order of business was to mold the SmackDown! roster to his liking. In an attempt to do so, Angle has completed two trades with RAW General Manager Eric Bischoff.

The first trade sends F.B.I. member Chuck Palumbo and A-Train to RAW for the combination of the sexy Miss Jackie and Rico.

The second trade is a blockbuster three-for-one deal. RAW’s Eric Bischoff has agreed to send the Dudley Boyz and Booker T to SmackDown! in exchange for former World Heavyweight Champion Triple H. This announcement comes straight off the heels of Triple H being chosen by SmackDown! in the draft lottery just 24 hours prior.

Be sure to check back here as more information becomes available."

So, not only has Chuck Palumbo and A-Train from SmackDown! been traded for Rico and Miss Jackie of RAW, but it seems that Triple H will not be appearing on SmackDown! after all. Instead, we will see the Dudley Boyz and Booker T on SmackDown!, with Triple H back in the mold of RAW. Kind of disappointing, as we at Fiesta Fest Wrestling were looking forward to see what Triple H would bring to the SmackDown! table. Seems that Triple H, along with Evolution, is still intact and in his firm position on the RAW roster. A shame, really.
