Angle Still Suffering From Injury, Career Ending Surgery Required?
It seems that the neck injuries of Kurt Angle are all but over. He has recently been complaining about numbness in his hands. It is rumored that he may have to undergo even more surgery, and the worst case scenario is that it could be career ending.

News courtesy of 1Wrestling.Com:

"WWE officials are very concerned about the possibility that Kurt Angle may need possible career ending surgery to deal with numbness and tingling he felt earlier this week in his hands.

Sources tell us that there is some behind the scenes second guessing as to whether Angle chose the right option when he opted for a "quick fix" kind of surgery to deal with his neck problem last year.

Angle opted for an experimental surgery that required a four to eight week recovery period as opposed to a full year that would have been required for the traditional fusion surgery other WWE stars had gone through.

Angle's surgery was performed last April by Dr Hae-Dong Jho. At the time, Angle told WWE.com, "I'm 100 percent with Dr. Jho, and when I come out of this, I'll be as good, if not better, than when I injured my neck."

Now, though, just a year later Angle is suffering numbness that may require major surgery that could end his career.

"He took a risk last year and it might have paid off short term, but it might cost him his career," said a 1Wrestling.com source.

Other sources point to the irony of Chris Benoit winning the World Title at Wrestlemania. Benoit had experienced similar problems as Angle and had fusion surgery that kept him out of action for a full year, but has returned to action and apparently has encountered no more problems with the neck.

Any neck surgery is risky, and sources point to Steve Austin as an example of fusion surgery that didn't work. Austin had virtually the same kind of surgery Benoit had and continued to experience problems.

Angle will find out soon just how serious the current neck problem might be, and WWE officials are nervously waiting to see what will happen to one of their most important stars."
