The Fabulous Moolah Passes Away At Age 84
|
Legendary women's wrestler, multiple time WWE Women's Champion and WWE Hall of Famer the Fabulous Moolah has passed away at the age of 84.
Moolah, real name Lillian Ellison, is perhaps most known to today's fans as part of the "comic" duo with Mae Young, but has wrestled since the 1950's and has held the WWE Women's Championship on 8 separate occasions, the most any female wrestler has held that particular title. Her last title victory was in 1999, when she defeated Ivory for the belt, at the age of 76. She continued to wrestle well into her 80's, although not that frequent of course. In fact, she even defeated current WWE Diva Victoria on her 80th birthday!
We at Fiesta Fest Wrestling are saddened by the loss of the Fabulous Moolah, she will be deeply missed.
