The heavily hyped match between Hulk Hogan and Jerry "The King" Lawler, that was scheduled to take place in Memphis, will now not go down after all.
This was revealed at a press conference recently, where Lawler stated that WWE talent could somehow not appear on VH-1, where Hogan's reality show is currently being shown. Therefore he could not participate in this match.
Hogan will, however, wrestle at the Memphis event, but against a completely different advesary from his past. He will be facing off against former WWE superstar Paul Wight, who up until last year wrestled in the WWE as the Big Show. Those of you who may not know, Hogan and Wight had quite the feuds in WCW, when Show.. sorry, Wight.. wrestled as The Giant.
It is also believed that WWE will be fighting this new Hogan vs. Wight match to try and prevent it from ever happening. Who knows what kind of stuff that will come out of this future match, considering that Wight reportedly badmouthed his former company on more than a couple of occasions.
