Palmer Cannon Leaves WWE Tour And Gives Notice
It seems that Palmer Cannon (real name Brian Mailhot) has left the recent WWE European tour, and has also given his notice to the company. According to sources, WWE has not yet granted his release, and nothing has been mentioned about this on WWE.Com.

Cannon, who played the part of SmackDown!'s "network executive", was apparently being heavily targeted and ribbed by his fellow SmackDown! wrestlers, and obviously decided that he was no longer going to take it.

News courtesy of PWInsider.Com:

"To follow up on the story broken yesterday by PWInsider.com, Palmer Cannon gave notice to World Wrestling Entertainment that he was quitting the company, effective immediately.

According to several sources, Cannon was the target of hazing by several of the Smackdown veterans. When the hazing was said to have led to a near-physical confrontation between Cannon and JBL, Cannon decided to fly himself home from the Smackdown European tour and immediately gave notice to the company.

Cannon, originally trained in New England by Killer Kowalksi, was signed by WWE to a developmental deal in March 2005. Last August, he debuted on Smackdown as a representative of "The Network" as heel fodder for Smackdown General Manager Teddy Long. Cannon had been training and wrestling in WWE territory Deep South Wrestling when not appearing on Smackdown events.

As of this writing, Cannon has not yet been granted a release by World Wrestling Entertainment."
