The biggest news item for this show is that Kobashi's 24 month long title reign was ended by Rikio. Rikio has never held a major singles title before, but he held the tag titles together with Morishima in 2003. Rikio was victorious after almost half an hour when he used the Muso on Kobashi.

Tenryu and Suzuki have competed on recent big NOAH shows. They managed to keep Akiyama outside of the ring and were able to pin Morishima. Morishima seemed to have gained weight and was announced at 310 pounds / 140 kg. Morishima was allowed to dominate early in the match though.

Otani and Takaiwa from Zero One used a similar strategy when they were fighting Mitsuharu Misawa and Kotaro Suzuki. Misawa was prevented from entering the ring, which gave them the opportunity to take out his weaker partner. This means that Misawa has lost his bet with them - and is now forced to compete on a Zero One show without any performance fee.

Yone pinned his smaller opponent Marufuji with a vicious Muscle Buster to become the third Hardcore Openweight champion. This is Yone's first title in NOAH so far, but he's still young and promising.

After their match, there were some wild brawling between KENTA and SUWA. Could we expect a future singles match between them?
